When you think of a fairytale romance, an Irish castle wedding provides the perfect setting: magical, romantic and steeped in history. One of the most stunning locations in Ireland, Luttrellstown Castle set the scene for Lauren and Danny’s happy ever after!
The Couple: Lauren & Danny
Meet Lauren & Danny, high school sweethearts from Texas who dreamed of an Irish castle wedding. With a dream in mind, they immediately fell in love with the natural beauty of Luttrellstown Castle and the magic of Ireland.
The Destination: Luttrellstown Castle
Set in the sprawling suburbs of Dublin, Luttrellstown Castle was the perfect location for Lauren & Danny’s destination wedding.
With its close proximity to Dublin airport for those travelling and its pure, natural beauty. Lauren & Danny fell in love with the luxurious location, saying, “It is even more beautiful in person.”
The spectacular grounds of the castle provided everything the couple could dream of for their wedding day. They loved it so much. Lauren said, “We were beyond happy with the venue, and if we could do it again, we would choose Luttrellstown every time.”
Due to work and study commitments, they never had the opportunity to visit the castle in advance of their wedding, but having every faith in Dream Irish Wedding, they were very happy to go with our recommendations.
The Ceremony
Although July is a summer month in Ireland, we’re not always guaranteed dry weather. However, the sun made a perfectly timed appearance for Lauren and Danny to exchange their vows outdoors against the backdrop of the fairytale castle.
The striking green ivy covering the castle stood out to all attending. It provided a real moment of awe as Lauren walked up the cream aisle towards Danny.
Although the day wasn’t without a raindrop or two, the well-placed umbrellas were thankfully not needed in the end.
When looking back on the day, Lauren mentioned, “I can’t help but smile when I think about how persistent you [Michelle] were with helping me to have the ceremony outside.”
The Bride
Lauren wowed guests in her strapless lace gown. In a stunning mermaid style, the train draped elegantly on the steps as Lauren walked hand in hand with Danny towards married life.
Following the reception and romantic first dance as newlyweds, Lauren made a quick dress change. Returning to the dance floor in a shorter dress and trainers, Lauren was ready to dance the night away with her husband and loved ones.
We asked Lauren what her favourite memory of the day was, and she shared, “It is honestly so hard to choose a favourite part of the day. On reflecting on the day every moment was so special. If I had to choose, it would be walking down the aisle and seeing Danny in front of the beautiful castle amongst all of our family and friends. The whole day was a dream come true.”
The Décor
Classic tones of grey and white created a chic and elegant theme. The themes ran effortlessly from the outdoor ceremony through to the indoor reception. Gorgeous grey table linen and timeless white flowers adorned the tables in the unique setting of the castle’s ballroom.
We enjoyed every moment of planning this stunning fairytale Irish castle wedding. We wish Lauren and Danny a lifetime of continued happiness together.
