With visions of a fairytale Irish castle wedding on their minds and nothing but love in their hearts, Chloe and Josh arrived at Dromoland Castle. Surrounded by their closest friends and family who filled the room with warmth and emotion, they tied the knot in a simply stunning ceremony.
Their big day became about more than their marriage as they surprised guests with the news that they were expecting a baby. A truly unforgettable moment in time!
The Couple
Chloe and Josh moved to Ireland from the United States back in 2022 and knew it would be the best place to celebrate their love and marriage. In Chloe’s words: “We fell in love with Ireland – its culture, history, music, people, and beauty. And we wanted all of our friends back home in the US to get the opportunity to experience it as well!”

The Destination: Dromoland Castle
Dromoland Castle was chosen as the dream Irish destination for Chloe and Josh’s wedding celebration.
With a rich history spanning a thousand years, surrounded by five hundred acres of stunning parklands, this 16th century castle is steeped in charm. The idyllic setting for a fairytale wedding to come to life.

Of course, the biggest reveal on the day was the beautiful news of Chloe’s pregnancy, a surprise announcement for their friends and family. But one surprise remained for the couple as they chose their cake cutting to be a gender reveal, which they remain overjoyed with.
We asked Chloe if she had a highlight from the day and unsurprisingly, she shared:
“It’s so hard to choose – there were so many special moments! But it’s got to be when we surprised all our friends and family by announcing we are expecting a baby! Tied for second would have to be the gender reveal done via the sword cake cutting and having a falcon as our ring bearer.”

The Décor
This occasion was one where the styling and décor matched the couple’s personalities perfectly.
Sunny, light and full of joy. You couldn’t help but smile as pastel coloured flowers framed the arch under which Chloe and Josh exchanged vows.
From the Terrace room where the ceremony was held, to the Brian Ború suite for the reception, each part of the day was carefully curated and styled with the couple’s dream vision in mind. Including having a falcon as their ring bearer. An unforgettable moment of the ceremony where Josh stepped outside to bring the falcon and their wedding rings in.

Advice From the Bride
Chloe was kind enough to share three pieces of advice with any engaged couples planning their own dream fairytale Irish wedding:
First piece of advice: book Dream Irish Wedding as your wedding planner!!! Michelle and the team are amazing. They have been doing this for over two decades, take care of every last detail, and know all the most incredible vendors.
Second piece of advice: embrace the Irish way! There were some things that felt a bit different to us as Americans (i.e. earlier ceremony start time, longer seated dinner, etc.) but we went with it, and it made the whole event that much more unique for our guests!
Third piece of advice: plan for any weather possibility! It’s Ireland – so expect four seasons in a day. Have a plan for rain or shine, so that you can fully enjoy the day no matter the weather.

Kind Words
It was a pleasure to plan such a joyous occasion with Chloe and Josh, a celebration we won’t forget!
Thank you for trusting in us and for sharing the following kind words:
Thank you so much for helping plan the wedding of our dreams! It was the best weekend of our lives and it wouldn’t have been possible without you! You were such a joy to work with from start to finish and you truly brought our fairytale of a vision to life.
